Wallops Island, Virginia. January 23, 2024 – The Virginia Spaceport Authority hosted its first annual Industry Day on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, from 9am-2pm at the Chincoteague Firehouse on Chincoteague Island, Virginia. This was an opportunity for companies to inquire about upcoming projects that will be rolling out soon at the spaceport and how to do business with the spaceport in the future. CEO and Executive Director, Ted Mercer welcomed over 90 individuals from across approximately 50 companies at the spaceport’s first Industry Day. At the end of the event, guests were given the opportunity to tour the spaceport’s facilities.
