Virginia Spaceport Authority Recognized as a Top Virginia Employer for Interns for Second Consecutive Year

NORFOLK, Virginia - The Virginia Spaceport Authority (VSA) is proud to announce that it has been recognized for the second year in a row as one of the Top Virginia Employers for Interns by the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV). This prestigious honor highlights VSA’s continued commitment to cultivating the next generation of aerospace and business professionals through meaningful, hands-on internship experiences.
This achievement reflects the strength of VSA’s workforce and the organization’s dedication to providing high-impact learning opportunities that prepare students for long-term career success. By offering immersive, real-world experiences, VSA ensures interns gain valuable exposure to the dynamic and rapidly evolving aerospace industry. In fact, about 16% of VSA’s staff consists of former interns.

VSA received 1,500 applications for the summer 2026 internship cohort, which will host interns across a wide range of fields, including:
